When is the Xbox Series X and Series S release date?
Both new Xbox consoles will be launching worldwide on November 10, 2020.
What is the difference between the Xbox Series X and Series S?
While the Xbox Series S is an all-digital console with no optical drive, the Xbox Series X offers a built-in Ultra HD Blu-Ray discs and lets you play physical edition of games. Obviously, the aesthetic is also pretty different, from the Series X black near-cube figure to the slimmer Series S version.
The Series S is quite the powerhouse, with advanced 3D spatial sound and 12 teraflops of power, the Series S features only 4. While the Series S can still handle ray tracing, 1440p at up to 120 fps, the overall resolution might not be as sharp than the one delivered by the Series X.
Will my previous Xbox games work on Xbox Series X and Series S?
Both Xbox Series X and Series S are compatible with thousands of games across four generation of Xbox.
With Smart Delivery games, you buy it once (physically or digitally depending on your console type) and you get the best version of that game for the system you’re playing on. All Xbox Game Studio Titles include Smart Delivery so you can keep playing your favorite classics.
In order to play a backward compatible game, simply insert it in your Xbox Series X or search your library to let the fun begin. Because Xbox Series S is an all-digital console, access your digital game library through the console and select the game you are looking for.
What is Quick Resume and how does it work?
What this function allows you to do is to switch seamlessly between games and other Apps. Your game automatically goes into a suspended state until you return to it. Enjoy shorter load time when opening up a new App or when you get back to a suspended game.
